Amazon Seller String Length & Byte Counter

As of August 28, 2017, Amazon sellers must limit the length of the generic keywords attribute to less than 250 bytes in the USA and every other marketplace except China. Exceptions are 200 bytes in India and 500 bytes in Japan. The limits have been shown to improve the quality of search results. It applies to newly registered and existing ASINs.

However, Amazon Seller Central does not show you the byte count for your product listing keywords. Use the handy tool below to make sure you don't exceed the limits. If your keywords exceed the limit, none will be indexed!

That's 5 characters totaling 7 bytes.

Pro tip: add http://www.rl-digital.com/byte-counter#%s to the custom search engines / location bar shortcuts in your browser of choice. Whenever I want to check string length / byte count, I just enter len some string in my address bar.
